EVERY SATURDAY from 2-4 p.m.: Quiet Writers Riot
We have trouble focusing on writing. We all pretend to be adults and when you
pretend to be an adult it can be difficult to find time to write. To alleviate
this silly problem, we came up with the idea of a silent writing club. We want
to sit and write in a silent group of inspired, pretend adults.
Each Saturday from 2-4pm we will meet at Uncharted Books 2630 N. Milwaukee to
write.
The two-hour silent session will be self-directed and unstructured. Each
writer will have the choice to share a 60-second gem near the end. There will
be a separate area for people who can't keep their mouths shut and want to
discuss writing and deep shit, like philosophy or turtles. Come as you are,
with whatever you need to get your words down on paper or screen or papyrus or
skin.
Whatever form your writing, you are welcome here.
