This is the 3rd issue of Daniel Halpern's (who would go on to found Ecco Press) and Paul Bowles' literary magazine, published in Morocco. This copy is inscribed by contributor Kay Boyle: "All good things to Jeff Nelson in 1984 or the years ahead. Kay Boyle." Next to her poem "Branded for Slaughter," Boyle has additionally written "In devotion to my former student Shawn. KB." The late Boyle was an acclaimed writer and activist who was blacklisted during the 1950s and who published over 40 books in her lifetime.
