This is a signed copy of the first book and only novel written by long-time Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Daily News editor Dedmon. This is an autobiographical tale of Dedmon's time as a US Air Force pilot in WWII when he was shot down and held in a German POW camp for 2 years. Dedmon would go on to write numerous other books, mostly non-fiction histories of Chicago, but this first book was his most personal. Very good / very good. Item #1327
