Portfolio edges are scuffed, with a bit of tearing to cloth at spine corners. Some soiling to portfolio spine. Edges of cover and booklet somewhat worn, and cover page has some sunning. "Printed in Soviet Union" stamped on cover page. Plates 19 and 73 are not present. All plates are in Very Good condition with perhaps some minor edge wear or fingerprint smudges, with the exception of the following plates:
Good or Good+: Closed tear top edge p. 13. 12" chip left edge p. 14. Top right corner p. 39 chipped. Bottom left corner pp. 1, 45 and 49 chipped. Closed tear right edge p. 97.
Fair: Pp. 4, 36, 41, and 50 seem to have been displayed separately at some point, with a fair amount of scuffing and paste residue on verso. P. 50 has a large closed tear around center of page.
This is a portfolio of miniature paintings of 16th century Russia reproduced from the Lenin USSR State Public Library.
