Wrap edges overhang text block, resulting in some curling and chipping. Chip to top left corner of front cover. Stains on spine. Pages unopened. Bookplate on front free endpaper of F.W. Gookin. Stamp in gutter of dedication page: "A gift from Mrs. F.W. Blatchford, Chicago."
This is a paper printed for members of the Chicago Literary Club, limited to 705 copies. The decorations on the cover and title page are by famed Orientalist scholar F.W. Gookin, who served as club secretary and treasurer from 1880-1920, and President from 1921-1922. The paper's author, C.E. Cheney, was Presiden from 1908-1909. An attractive and scarce artifact of Chicago literary history in very good condition. Very good. Item #1560
