This is a comprehensive set of American history texts in fine and very attractive condition. This set is the magnum opus of James Ford Rhodes, the Pulitzer-winning historian and industrialist. Volumes 1-8 are reprinted from the 1890s text, while Volume 9 (covering 1896-1909) was published in 1922 (the 1928 reprint is offered here) and bound in slightly textured cloth.
