This is a first edition of Hopkinsian theologian Weeks' influential treatise on the importance of revivals in American Christianity. The first several chapters of this were previously published in evangelical magazines under the pseudonym "Bunyanus," and indeed the book is written in a style imitating Bunyan's classic work. Weeks passed away before the full text was published. Very good. Item #1588
