Chicago: Paul Theobald, 1947. First Edition. Cloth. 4to. Yellow cloth. Dust jacket. 241 pp.
Book is very good and jacket is good. Jacket is price-clipped and has multiple chips and closed tears along edges, particularly along top edge, which also has a tear repaired with tape on rear cover. 1/2" loss at footer of jacket spine. Book has several dark damp stains on spine and some discoloration to endpapers. Interior is perfect.
This is a stated first edition of Rudofsky's first book. Uncommon in any condition, particularly with dust jacket. Rudofsky was an influential Austrian-American architect, designer, and social historian, best known for his book Architecture Without Architects. This book is a critical look at how society and fashion are inseparably intertwined. Very good / good. Item #2093
