This is a stated first edition of Terry's influential true crime book. Terry was an investigative journalist who posited that the Son of Sam serial killer David Berkowitz did not work alone, and was in fact a member of a Satanic cult called "The Children" which had ties to Charles Manson and other notorious mass murderers. Terry was profiled recently in the Netflix docuseries Sons of Sam, which posits him as the killer's "last victim"; Terry's obsession with the case consumed his life and led to many personal problems. This book, which has not gone out of print, remains an important work in the true crime genre and provides a link between the serial murders of the 1970s and the "Satanic panic" of the 1980s.
