Lieb immigrated to the United States from Switzerland in 1856 and was the commander of the Union 9th Louisiana Regiment of African Descent (later the 5th U.S. Colored Heavy Artillery), famous for the Battle of Milliken's Bend. After the war, Lieb became an author, newspaper editor, and Cook County Clerk. Very good. Item #3974
