Lot of 20 "Little Blue Books"

Haldeman-Julius Company, 1922. Pamphlet. This is a lot of 20 "Little Blue Books" published between 1922-24 by the Haldeman-Julius Company, valued individually between $10-20. Emanuel Haldeman-Julius was a prolific publisher, editor, author, and social reformer who spearheaded the socialist Appeal to Reason press from 1919 until 1978. His flagship series was the Little Blue Books, which were inexpensive blue 3.5x5" paperbacks covering intellectual subjects like literature, politics, religion, fine arts, history, and more. There were 2300 unique titles over the life of the series and most are very collectible. The blue books series changed prices, appearance, and names several times over the decades (and you may notice that the series numbers were not always chronological), but the Haldeman-Julius commitment to bringing the classics to the masses never wavered.
