This is the AMS reprint of Webb's landmark 1920 history of British trade unions. The book was influential in a number of global socialist movements, and was translated into Russian by Vladimir Lenin. The Webbs were British economists, politicians, prolific writers, and ardent supporters of the Soviet Union under Stalin. They are buried in Westminster Abbey. Very good. Item #543
