This is an uncommon book collecting two speeches by West Indian revolutionary and Grenadian Prime Minister Bishop, with annotations and photos. With photos from the events where the speeches were given.
Bishop headed the Marxist-Leninist New Jewel Movement (NJM) which came to power in Grenada in the revolution of 1979. He then headed the People's Revolutionary Government of Grenada from 1979-1983, when he was executed in a coup, prompting the infamous United States invasion of Grenada. This book, collecting two of his inspirational speeches, was printed during the brief window of Bishop's Premiership. At the time of listing, this bookseller was unable to find any other copies of these speeches listed for sale. Very good. Item #7179
