Adventure Club Conversations offers live conversations between two creators, thinkers, writers, journalists and/or authors about art, culture, politics and everything altogether.
This will be a conversation between writer/multimedia artist and specialist Davon Clark and Vincent Martell of VAM, a full service production company and home to prominent underground film.
About the two in conversation:
Vincent Martell is a queer Chicago bred filmmaker whose work centers around nuanced POC + queer narratives. He is the founder of one the fastest growing production companies, VAM STUDIO, a full service production company and home to prominent underground film. A Chicago International Movies & Music Festival ICON Awardee, Vincent is relentless in diversifying stories on screen and perspectives behind the lens, while unapologetically disrupting the film industry. His work as creator, director, and writer of his debut gritty narrative Damaged Goods premiered in March 2019. Vincent’s work has been profiled in Vogue, Rolling Stone, Out Magazine, Pitchfork, Paper Magazine, Dazed, Advocate, NPR and The Fader.
Davon Clark is a Philadelphia-raised writer and photographer based in Chicago. His art looks to fill in the gaps left behind in coverage of the worlds that he lives in and peripheral to. He uses investigative journalism practices to inform how he approaches his work and its uses. He likes flowers and the little things in life.
This event will have a $5 cover.
