New York: Bodyscope Publications, 1933. First Edition. Wraps. Very large folio. 20"x16". Wraps. 2 double-sided, full color anatomical panels with rotating volvelle wheels inside. Rotating the wheels shows different body systems and text through the multiple windows in the panels.
Split at spine, so book is in 4 separate pieces. Wrap edges quite worn with many closed tears and a 2" chip at bottom edge. Panels also have tears, including a taped closed tear that spans horizontally halfway across the "male body" panel. Despite tears, book is complete and intact and wheels turn normally.
This is a very uncommon educational tool which teaches the basics of anatomy and physiology with rotating wheels of colorful images and text. Quite a curiosity. Fair. Item #1972
