This is a first edition of Stephen Ensko's standard reference work on English silver. Stephen's father, Robert Ensko, was a legendary Manhattan silver expert and author of this book's companion volume, Makers of Early American Silver. Robert's cousin Charles E. Ensko worked for the Robert Ensko company for 25 years as a silver expert himself. It was Charles ("Chas") E. Ensko who inscribed this copy of his family's book "To Dr. George Mueller, Xmas 1947." Very good / fair. Item #864
