Chirp Release Event

Saturday, Sep 01, 2018 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Location:
Uncharted Books
2620 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60647

We here at Ursus Americanus Press are psyched to be releasing Greg Zorko’s new poetry chapbook, Chirp, into the world! Come celebrate with us at Uncharted Books on September 1st at 5 PM to celebrate a book of humorous and heartfelt poems that mystify before placing themselves right in front of your nose. These poems are an awkward square dance in socks on a freshly waxed VFW floor, a sleepy Midwestern interstate made magic by a party of horses, a lump rising in the throat of a baby bird.

We will bringing a box of books and cooler of beers, so bring yourselves, your friends, and some cash (and your beers (or your IDs for our beers (sorry))), and let’s hatch this book together!

Readings from:
Greg Zorko (Madison, WI)
Bree Jo’ann (Indianapolis, IN)
Katie Burke (Chicago, IL)
Evan Fusco (Chicago, IL)

Greg Zorko was born in 1990 in Albany, New York. He is the author Ghost in the Club (Metatron, 2016). He currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin.

It has appeared in print in PRINTtEXT’s Didactic. She lives with her son and her husband in Indianapolis, IN. She vacations at the elaborate, rambling mansion inside her head.
